Happy Holidays! or as Goan people say “Compliments of the Season”!
I have been called “Christmaszilla” by some people but I swear I’m not that bad, I just get excited and want everything to look pretty! My folks are usually in Goa for the holiday season so I guess I try a little harder to make it special. I miss having my mom’s Goan crab curry or traditional Christmas sweets, and my dad goes completely overboard with decorations- we’re talking four types of musical lights in the living room, balcony, and entrance of the house as well as larger than life decorations- there was a Santa cut out at the door last year! People who think I’m Christmaszilla need to meet my dad.
Anyway, we hosted our traditional potluck Christmas dinner. The man cooked his “famous” turkey, our friends brought some delicious desserts and main courses too, we exchanged gifts, tried mulled wine for the first time and listened to retro Christmas carols. I thought it was perfect.
We DIYed some of our decorations this year, I loved how this cone/ christmas tree project turned out!
And the man made panettone pudding with lots of chocolate!
I hope you’re having a lovely holiday season! This will be my last post for 2014 but I’m super excited for another year of blogging, I sometimes wonder if this blog will turn into a mommy blog one day, I can’t seem it give it up <3
Lots of Love,
