Recently on Confessions of an Asosaholic

January 21, 2014

Since I’m not churning out outfit posts as often as I would like, I thought I’d just share my recent Asos purchases before they’re sold out. I made a sale purchases in December, pieces that I look forward to wearing as soon as the weather cooperates with my need for bare legs.

Ok, so since I’m confessing here I might as well admit that part of the appeal of this dress was that I knew it would be super flattering. I ordered it in a UK 20 and it fits great. The upper half is bodycon as expected and the sleeves aren’t very sheer, in fact barely, so that’s great if it’s something you’re not too comfortable with. I would highly recommend!

Ah, mon cheri! At last, we are together <3 I have been stalking this embroidered dream for ages, it was finally on sale but still expensive butIboughtitanywayIamweak. So weak.

It fits true to size, it does not run long like most Curve dresses, I would say it hits me a little above the knee. I have a little issue with a gap between buttons around the bust area but I’m willing to overlook it because it’s just so beautiful!

Meh. My intuition was telling me to skip this, I knew it would run straight and boxy on me but I’m trying to branch out of my usual curve flattering comfort zone. I don’t even mind the straight silhouette because it’s great with skinny jeans and faux leather leggings but the fit is so awkward. It’s a little tight around my hips and tummy but it’s way loose around my bust. The neckline falls open like some gaping wound exposing way too much to be considered daytime chic. I could pin it or wear a black tube top underneath but I might just add this to my Things from Asos I will Sell when I’m less Lazy list.

And a few days ago, I purchased these sale items. I usually use Aramex Shop n Shop but I decided to opt for free international shipping. Aramex has been taking two weeks lately, the same time Asos promises to have my package at my door step so I might cancel my Shop n Ship account.

Just because I’m into belts again, especially with high waisted skirts, and I really like the simple metal detail.

Yep, still loving midi skirts and the outfit possibilities are endless with this beauty. I really hope it fits well!

ASOS CURVE Sweat In Neon Heart Print

This was not on sale but I’ve already mentioned my love for this awesome heart print sweatshirt in a previous post, it’s so deliciously 80s and cute! I can’t wait to rock it with a skater skirt or maybe just leggings for a lazy weekend.

The down side of having pets- they will ruin your clothes. Leia managed to rip these on the first day I wore them and in all honesty, I only visited Asos to replace them. And then ended up buying 3 other things. I told you I am weak!

Also, I felt like they ran a little small so sized up this time. You can’t help but feel sexy in these so I definitely recommend getting a pair.

Fingers crossed everything fits well, I’ll keep you updated 🙂
