Pattern Clash

January 26, 2014

I finally got around to mixing tartan with leopard print, strike that off my fashion to do list!

So, I was so excited about getting this Asos Curve tartan shirtdress but I’m kind of disappointed with how it looks on me. It’s baggy, yet the buttons stretch, especially around the bust (sigh* story of my life #bustygirlproblems) and the cold shoulder sleeves are super loose. It’s just not very well constructed.

But let’s move on to the good stuff! This New Look biker jacket? I’ve been living in it. I upsized so I can layer it over sweaters and dresses, it doesn’t look tacky or cheap like some faux leather jackets and it fits perfect. My beloved boots were a Christmas gift to myself, I’m very generous with myself during the holiday season, especially if there’s a Nordstrom sale! Since my left foot is bigger than my right, I’ve been wearing them a lot to stretch out the left boot. I survived shopping at Ikea in these boots. They’re on sale at Dillard’s so if you’re looking for comfortable yet sexy boots, I’d definitely recommend checking them out.

I look so grumpy in the video, it’s my natural bitchy resting face I promise.

Hope you’re having a great day 🙂

Love it! I also totally understand #bustygirlproblems, and this one in particular! A lot of ASOS Curve runs large all over, but occasionally I’ll get a dress that big everywher except the chest :/ The way you styled it works though.
