Asos Curve Peplum Top In Check Print / Lida Plus Size footless tights /Aldo shoes (similar) / Marc Jacobs Clearly bag (similar here, here and here) / New Look necklace (similar)
Tights are usually something I don’t have the highest expectations of, I’ve tried We Love Colors, New Look, etc. and to me, they were okay. I just wanted something that fit properly and lasted through the winter. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case and every winter, I shop for a new pair that a) fit comfortably and b) don’t ladder up, especially not in public. in any compromising areas *cough cough* (thanks chub rub). I’ve not had the best of luck with that so when I got these, I was all “they’re tights, how impressed would I be?”.
Well, I’m surprised. These Lida plus size footless tights are pretty luxe, I think they’re the fanciest pair of tights I’ve ever come across. The quality is just so good!
First off, Lida is a Polish tights manufacturer company that started off with their grandmother hand making hosiery in 1933 and the family continues to run the business until today
You can choose tights based on your dress size as well as hips, thighs and heigh measurement. I upsized by one size (UK 20) so the ones I’m wearing are long for me but I just rolled them higher and they didn’t droop down on me while walking about. They are high waisted but I don’t think they offer any tummy control, which could be intentional since Lida seem to stress on comfort.
The box says they’re made of soft microfibre, are 92% Polamid and 8% Elastan. They are super soft to touch, none of that nasty nylon feel, and are 100% matte and opaque ( quite literally, flash proof!). I have no snags or ladders, and keep in mind, I deal with 3 overly affectionate cats and an over excited dog on a daily basis, so they are definitely durable. Also, I’m wearing them in 50 degree weather and they’re still very comfortable, I’m really loving the soft, breathable fabric. There’s no pinching, no loss of blood supply to my thighs, I have been living in them for the past few days, mostly wearing with sheer blouses and blazers.
I really love them and definitely recommend checking them out. I think they would also be great for tall girls who have trouble finding tights that are long enough. Lida’s plus size collection has everything from knee high socks, fishnets and calf length ones too. They also have maternity tights and plus size maternity tights. You can check out their entire plus size collection here. .
They also sent me two sheer pairs, one has a shine to it and the other one comes with a gusset (I had to look it up hehe) but I’ll review those in another post.
I hope this review was helpful! For more information on Lida, you can visit their website and their Facebook.
Until next time x
