Perception of hem lines. Basically, you get judged either way. image source

“Kim Phuc was pictured in a world-famous and iconic photograph from the Vietnam war, running naked from an airborne attack, horribly burned with napalm, in June of 1972. Since then, Kim has found peace, and a message she can offer, borne of her suffering. She runs The Kim Foundation International, and she acts as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNESCO. She has transformed into a viable, visible symbol of peace and hope. Hers is an important story of resilience, courage, and forgiveness.” source

Have a beautiful week x

  • I guess I'm swing between proper and matronly. I wonder what a maxi skirt is!! LOL Awe. Thanks girl. You are too sweet and just FYI you inspire me!! Kim Phuc is a great example for anyone that feels like giving up!

  • Funny  you should post this picture of the skirt because I was thinking about it the other day. I'm not a feminist…at least I don't think I am, but things like this kinda make me upset. Just because I feel like a woman should wear what she wants, without the judgement. We still judge though, I still do, but more so from a fashion standpoint. But  it's so true, one time i had on this really fly outfit, it was a skirt i got at the thrift store, and it was like ankle length some guy started telling me I looked like a Jehovah's Witness or Mormon or something and I needed to be make this outfit more attractive for men looking at me….so i dont know my point but it's true the longer the more innocent, the shorter the sexier.

  • Thanks a lot for the mention, darling!
