Jet setting with Mikyajy

August 13, 2012

Mikyajy appointed themselves my Make Up fairy  by sending me heaps of goodies! I feel like a spoilt princess, so many yummy shades and the beauty junkie is me is just elated.

If you’re not familiar with them, they are a popular Arab brand with a wide range of beauty products that includes perfumes and skin care too. I’m a big fan of their kohl pencils and eye liners, I mean, you know an Arab brand is going to get those right. No surprises there 🙂

I don’t wear a lot of make up on a daily basis but I’ve been trying to use little bits from this beautiful Jetsetter kit:

It has 4 pigmented matte blushes, 24 pearl finish eye shadow and  16 gorgeous lip glosses.

I think the kit has a good shade range, the blushes are pretty bright and you get a good choice of bright and nude lip glosses.

The kit consists of 5 compacts that can be pulled apart, they even provide you with an empty box to store your favorite compact in- great for carrying around in your handbag or y’know, jet setting around the globe.

I’m not a fan of the little eye shadow brushes and lip brushes, does anyone actually use those? They tend to get lost somewhere around my dressing table. Thankfully, they also sent me a blush and eye shadow brush.

The long lasting kohl eye pencils from their 22K line do their job well, I particularly like the blue shade called Blue Print.  But I am in LOVE with the Sabaya Caring kohl liner and liquid liner because it’s made for sensitive eyes. My eyes get really itchy or burn when I wear eyeliner for too long and I end up rubbing them a lot. Not good for eye wrinkles and the fact that I wear contacts! If that happens to you too, you might want to check these out.

Girl Tools Brow and Lash Kit, the eye lash/ brow comb in this kit is really nice for getting rid of mascara clumps.

These are the products I have started using on a daily basis:

22K Expressive Volume & Lift Mascara- definitely lives up to its name!

22K Radiant Highlighter in Rose Pearl- it doesn’t have any shimmer, so it’s nice for day make up. I think it works better as a brightening pen, I like using this under me eyes. before I apply my concealer, to hide shadows.

Sabaya Caring Liner- stays on the whole day and I’m not tugging at the corners of eyes by mid day. No itchy eyes, yay!

Here’s what I ended up, I think I’ll try this ‘look’ again and remember to use some eye shadow primer.

Thanks again to Mikyajy for sending me this kit and other goodies 🙂

You can check them out on Facebook for more information about their products.

Have a wonderful day!
