When Sunil’s parents arranged for her marriage at age 11, she threatened to report them to police in Rajasthan, India. They relented, and Sunil, now 13, stayed in school. “Studying will give her an edge against others,” her mother now says.

    love it! created a great discussion with my daughters –  very happy with their opinions, we have lots of chats about body image, equality and why its important they don't listen to someone who tells them how to look or behave because they are a girl – amy poehlers 'smart girl' project i am definately subscribing to – great post, you are helping to shape our next generation of strong girls x
