Everything from New Look, Shoes are from ASOS.

Hello! I know it’s been a while but I’m hoping the fact that I wore a tutu in public just for this blog will make up for it haha. Do you like my new tattoo? It took 3 incredibly painful hours to do and I have to go through it again for retouching. I’m getting goose bumps just thinking about it :/

Now let me tell you about these shoes, oh honey these shoes!

They’re definitely the hottest thing I own right now and they’re not too uncomfortable just very high for someone as uncoordinated as me. But I LOVE them! Seriously, I could right paragraphs about my love for them but I’ll spare you 🙂

I hope you’ve been well? I really missed blogging but I just wasn’t up to it, I’m still struggling with a bunch of personal crap- relationships, career and body image stuff. My mom sent me some weight loss email story the other day and signed it off with “your concerned mother”. I really had no clue I was that morbidly obese, all this while I thought I was a happy, fat chick.

Anyway, I’m not going to bore you with details and be negative here. It’s ok to be who you are- fat, skinny, big nosed or flat- chested or whatever. Set your own rules of beauty instead of following the rules that everyone else has. Question everything, grow and fight. I’m not about to let someone else dictate my happiness for my life.

PS: So glad you're back! ^^

  • you look beautiful girl! i love this entire outfit 🙂 i <3 you and your outlook on it all! just gotta live it day by day and remember YOU are the only one living your life.

  • Hello pretty lady, so good to see you're back! I missed you!

As I've always said Lu, you are beautiful, and don't let anyone (not even your family!) tell you different! You are such an inspiration, so continue to stay positive, and brush off the negative (easier said than done, I know), you have a whole community behind you sweetie! 😀

Awesome outfit! You have such gorgeous legs (lucky!), I love how it's feminine, yet tough with the added touch of those awesome shoes!

    <3

  • God! I'm dying to have a tutu skirt! I've always loved it! You look gorgeous! 🙂

  • Oh, and about your concerned mother, I think you can introduce her to Health at Every size, really, at More of Me to Love you can find lots of material. When I'm feeling down and out I usually go there and browse, I specially love Golda Poretsky that writes there and have a great website called Body love wellness. Love!Papu

  • Lovely outfit.Tutu skirt is beautiful really! and with your jean shirt is perfect.

Parents want the best for their children. But it is your body, your desires, your feelings in relation to what you are. This is your life you and do what you want , no matter what your mother said .

  • I love that tutu, and it looks great on you. No matter how positive anyone is, we still all struggle with body image issues from time to time, especially when people close to us are involved.

  • I'm with love with your entire outfit, you look pretty girl! You have beautiful face and soul, I guess! Shoes are really awesome! Be happy, girl:*

  • I'm IN love, of course! 😉

  • oh, I forgott about a tattoo! I really admire it!

  • Weesha, you always inspire me to accept myself as I am. You are beautiful inside and out and if your Mom sees a fault…that's her problem! Your tatoo and shoes are awesome gf.

  • Your tattoo is gorgeous!! totally wish i had the guts (and tolerant parents) to get a big piece like that. And the shoes!! Swoon!!
Don't let the opinion of others (especially you mom) upset you – you ARE beautiful, just the way you are 🙂

  • I love your outfit here!

I have been going through a rut with body image lately. After my wedding, I gained some pounds and it's really messed with my head. We just have to do whatever makes us FEEL great. I love reading your posts 🙂

  • That tat is NICE!!! I want to finish mine but don't know what I want yet! Lovin the tutu too. You look so Springy…ahhh better days!!

  • You look faboo !!!
I just did a post this week on a over-40 in a tu tu !
    xXx

  • A very springy outfit. I love, I love! xx

  • First of all, fab outfit tutu and all!

Secondly, you are not anywhere near "morbidly obese". I was your size in my very early 20s, perfect and curvy. I gained a bunch of weight, have lost half of it, and am on my way to losing 40 more pounds to be back to my old size. And I love myself as I am! I just have high blood pressure, so weight loss it is….

So basically, you are my goal size 🙂

    Love your positivity!

  • A beautiful girl in a tutu. Lu, I am sending you so much love! <3

  • I am in love with this outfit. You look amazing.

I'm sorry about the email your mom sent. It's hard enough to deal with all of the prejudice in the big bad world, having it come from your own family is the worst.

  • *GASP* Thse shoes, THOSE SHOES!! AMAZABALLSS…Good for you wearing your tutu, and honestly, your not even big for your mother to be saying she is concerned. Mothers worry about one thing or another, don't sweat it. You look gorgeous!!

  • Ugh, mothers. I know I've commented to you before – my mother is overly-critical too. It still bothers me at age 30 even though it SHOULDN'T. But anyhow – you are not what I would call FAT, ever.

Okay, I generally HATE shooties as a rule but those are amazing. AMAZING!!!

  • I could not love this post more. The look, the words, the attitude.

    You are an inspiration.

  • Kuddos for showing your lovely legs, darling in killer shoes (pardun me?). It is insane how obsessed we are with outer appearance. When I hear or see plus size girls losing all their weight and they are professing the ultimate happiness they found now in their smaller bodies, makes me doubt about my own conviction in my fatty boom boom. But u'r right, don;t let ANYone tell you what makes u beautiful. Thnx 4 keeping it real!

  • LOVE the tutu paired with the denim shirt!! I also love the french braid – that is my go to look lately!!

btw – your legs look gorgeous

    ~Jessica

  • Jus awesome as always! You skirt is so beautiful and the heels are KILLERZ! Also I would love to get a closer view on your tattoo, it looks so intressting!

  • First, you look FABULOUS! for real, so fierce and beautiful.
and second, man! mothers really know how to push your buttons, I know exactly where you're coming from, my mom was the same, and there were many fights and lots of tears until I told my parents off, to stop, just tell your mom that you are happy with the way you look, and aware of your body, and if YOU wanna make a change you'll do it on your own terms, not hers, and that she should stop pushing you.
We know our mothers does it out of love, but it's just not the right way to do it in. <3

    HUGS

  • You are absolutely gorgeous. That's the first thing I thought when I opened your blog.

Your shoes are fierce, but you're even more so! So fierce, in fact, that I've decided to follow you.

  • Whatever it is that your mother was implying, there is no way that you are morbidly obese! You are so gorgeous and I really hope that you are happy! On a lighter note, I just can't get over how insane those shoes are!!! I want them so badly!

  • Those boots are straight up KILLER!

  • I think you are perfect the way you are — and that's all the matters. <3 ya!

  • I seriously need to get my hand on those boots…. searching now…
