First of all, Happy New Year!! Did 2010 zoom past us or what?!
It was such an amazing year for me- recovered from heart break, landed an awesome job, got two adorable cats, my first apartment, won a whole bunch of free stuff, came on TV and in a local newspaper… it’s a long list! I have trouble believing all this happened as I write it here. I’m very blessed and grateful 🙂
We went through bad times too, financially and in relationships, but the good definitely outweighs the bad, so fingers crossed 2011 will be just as amazing.
One of my close friends is expecting a baby this year so I already have some good news and I’m keeping away my negative thoughts for now, we’re not going to get anywhere with what-ifs and worrying too much, are we?
So here’s to us, warrior women. We’re not celebrities, we don’t have perfect hair, bodies or make up artists. We wake up to work, school, kids, traffic, bills, people being assholes, insecurities and tough days. But we choose to remember the good days, our friends and family, random memories of laughing so much with tears. We choose to count the hugs, blessings, people who treat us nice and meaningful compliments that make our reflections smile.
Here’s wishing that 2011 is a year where we believe in ourselves more, worry less about what other people think and have faith in being a good, happy human being despite what the world flings at us.
Thank you for staying with me through this blog, you probably know a lot more about me than the people in my real life and sometimes you’ve been 10 times more supportive than these people. I can’t thank you enough for making Weesha’s World my little happy place
